1694173474 VIRTUAL MUSEUMS AND TWO MUSEUM HOUSE EXAMPLES

Today, the concept of globalization shows its influence in every aspect of life, and the socio-cultural dimension of this situation allows interaction between cultures. At this point, museums, which have the task of protecting and exhibiting cultural heritage, play an active role. Many objects that have witnessed the past are a document of the period in which they exist, so they can provide the viewer with multifaceted information. In this context, individuals have the opportunity to learn about their society, culture and world culture through works of art. Museums, which undertake the task of preserving and exhibiting works of art, have made it possible to visit them in virtual environments through technological advances. In the research, among the museums with many types, two artists whose houses have been transformed into museums and whose works are accessible in the virtual environment are included. In this study, what has been the reflection of society and culture in the works of artists within the framework of creating cultural awareness? It aimed to seek an answer to the question. Accordingly, the museum houses and works of the artists were examined as the sample group. Based on the qualitative research method, books, theses, articles and publications on the subject were used.
