1674462939 BIRD FIGURES IN ORIGINAL PRINT ART OF TURKEY

Art has maintained to show itself in different ways continuously from the first day to the present. Human beings were first able to succeed to communicate each other thanks to the pictures drawn on the walls of caves. They made an effort to transfer, what they wanted to express with the shapes, symbols and motifs found on the cave walls, to each other through art. In this context, art was divided into different fields according to the techniques and materials used in it. The art of original print is one these fields. Although it is not exactly known where and when it was firstly used, original print paintings have always showed the cultural characteristics of societies, as in all fields of art. It can be said that the period in which the art of original print was used intensively in Turkey started in 1950s. The art of original print had developed because of the increased emphasis on art in our country and due to socio-economic reasons; the art of original print can produce reproducible works of art. With this development, in the continued 60s, 70s and 80s; the motifs used by our artists, who produce original works, have succeeded in reflecting the state of our society. In that period, the animal figures and motifs that our artists deal with in their original print paintings do not show fixed features. When the most used animal motifs are examined, it is seen that these motifs are bird, horse, bee, mandate, sheep, fish etc. Since there are bird figures and motifs among the most common animal figures and motifs that we encounter in our original print art, our research has been completed by examining the works of Aliye Berger, Hayati Misman and Hasan Pekmezci in this direction.
