The technological developments starting with Gutenberg in the field of printing techniques in the 16th century had an increase as the years processed, in particular after 19th century. These developments observed in the World in the field of printing technologies found a serious acceptance in Turkey in particular after 19th century and first official studies were initiated. Getting a support by the palace in 1724, having his first works in 1726 and establishing the first official Turkish printing press in 1729, Ibrahim Muteferrika became the pioneer of a new era with his works. In this study, Ibrahim Muteferrika and first books published by him were examined.
